They have a flip-up design that allows you to disengage them without having to remove the units entirely, which makes is convenient if you have multiple children of different skill levels using the same bicycle. These Bell Sports training wheels are easy to install and they fit wheels between 12" and 18" in diameter so you can use them with kids of varying ages.

    For 20" bikes, these training wheels are designed to provide balance support and will not completely stabilize the bike while pedaling. When properly installed, these training wheels are designed to be approximately 1/2" off the ground on either side.

    To teach balance, training wheels are designed to be 1/8-1/4 inch off the ground on either side when properly installed.
