    Description

Carousel of Progress is one of 67 pins released as a series in 1998 (before pin trading had officially started) to commemorate some of Disneyland's favorite attractions - both present to that time and from the past. The Carousel of Progress - which was first replaced at Disneyland by America Sings and then by Innoventions - still exists in Walt Disney World. This pin shows the father from the show, in gray and black sitting on a dark blue chair, has his yellow and gray dog in front. The background is triangle of purple. At the top are the words CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS (Carousel is in blue); beneath is the Disneyland logo. The pin represents the first scene, Turn of the Century c. 1904. The man is John, the dog is Rover. This gold-finished pin measures 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) tall by 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) wide. The backstamp reads, "DISNEY."
